Body Contouring

What is body contouring

Surgical body contouring following major weight loss removes excess sagging fat and skin while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue. The result is a more normal appearance with smoother contours.
Dramatic weight loss has many benefits. But after weight reduction surgery, or any substantial amount of weight loss, the skin and tissues often lack the elasticity to conform to the reduced body size.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure, using a vacuum, which removes excess fatty tissue which has built up beneath a client’s surface skin (epidermis). This fatty tissue can be seen in certain areas of the body including the thighs, hips, abdomen, knees, back or chin area. The procedure reshapes those areas by removing the undesired fat.

  • Abdomen
  • Hips
  • Outer thighs (saddlebags)
  • Flanks (love handles)
  • Back
  • Inner thighs
  • Inner knees
  • Upper arms
  • Submental (chin),(gullet)
  • Gynecomastia (male breast tissue),(man murrays)

What are the benefits of this procedure?

This is an excellent procedure to smooth out your final silhouette, or to simply deal with those problem areas.

How is it performed?

These procedures can be performed under local anaesthetic, with or without sedation, or general anaesthetic, and are often performed as a day case.

A limited number of small incisions are made in the skin to allow access to the areas to be treated. These are placed in such a way so that the resulting scar is well hidden or camouflaged. These wounds are closed with stitches that will need to be removed and are covered with waterproof dressings, allowing you to shower as soon as you feel comfortable.

Bruising and swelling can persist for two weeks, after which time a return to work is possible. A pressure garment will be fitted to you that will apply constant pressure to the treated areas post-operatively. This will hasten your recovery and improve your result, and will need to be worn for several weeks.

The process

  • Treatment: 1 day hospitalization
  • Anesthesia: Local anesthetic or general anesthetic
  • Duration: 1-3 hours depending on the procedure
  • Socially acceptable: after 3 days
  • Return journey: after 3-4 days
  • Sport: after 6 weeks

Tummy Tuck

When a client undergoes a “tummy tuck” (the medical term is abdominoplasty) the surgical procedure removes excess fat and skin and restores weakened or misaligned muscles to give the client a smoother and firmer abdomen. It is noted that even clients that are a normal weight and proportion, can sometimes see loosening and sagging occur in their abdomen. Factors making this happen may be many – genetic footprint, severe weight fluctuation, perhaps after a few pregnancies or a previous surgery. If you desire to have a flatter and tighter stomach then a tummy tuck or “belly lifting” surgery can be the solution for you and increase your self confidence.

The incision is made in the lower part of the abdomen, similarly to the one in Cesarean section, and in some cases around the navel. In the case of mini abdominoplasty, the navel is not corrected. In the case of sagging muscles, plastics is also performed for the abdominal wall muscles. The operation lasts from 2 to 3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Abdominoplasty is suitable mainly for people who, except for the presence of subcutaneous fats in the belly area that could be removed by liposuction, also have excessive skin in the belly area which is removed in this operation.

Arm& Leg Lift

Arm and Leg Lift or Arm and Leg Tuck, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to remove redundant, flabby, and sagging skin folds of the upper arms and legs.

Who is a suitable candidate for arm&leg lift?

The procedure is recommended for candidates, whose arms have drooping, sagging appearance, which is usually the result of fluctuations in weight, growing older and even heredity.
